PEP Talk nets $10,000 for East Marion project

Thirteen months ago, April 2009, we first reported on the Peconic Estuary Program initiative for Hashamomuck Pond. A Fall update followed, and now PEP has awarded the Gardiners Bay Estates Homeowners Association a $10,000 grant to restore Spring Pond. The objective is to stop the first 45 minutes of storm runoff, which contains most of the bacteria we need to keep out of the water.
