We cannot be the buffer for County Road 48 much longer! We need help now!
It is no longer a threat in one area, 4 more areas yesterday [October 7th] were potential breaches to the road!
Sound waves breach the wall
LI Sound came within 17 feet of County Road 48 in more than one spot.
This was not even a storm!
Groins and beach nourishment are needed NOW!!! These are peoples home and lives at jeopardy! County Road 48 is main artery to the east of Long Island and will be washed away! The Hashamomuck Cove Group is expecting to hear from all levels of government so we can work together in fixing this now.
