Since 2007, when SoutholdVOICE came into existence as a not-for-profit organization, we have evolved as an important “voice of the community” concerned with assuring that property owners have a “voice” that’s heard in Town Hall and keeping our members informed about Town regulations related to waterfront property, other important issues that affect the quality of life on the North Fork, and by advocating change to existing regulations where needed. We have covered important topics such as Air Traffic and Helicopter Noise Pollution, Innovative Septic Systems to Protect Our Aquifers, Repairing, Building, Maintaining Bulkheads and Docks and Practical Ways to Control Land Erosion, and Flood Insurance.
We bring these issues to our elected representatives in Southold Town, Suffolk County and Washington, D.C such as Congressman Lee Zeldin, County Legislator, Al Krupski, and in Southold Town, Scott Russell, Town Supervisor, Mike Domino, Chair of the Board of Trustees John Bredemeyer and Vice President of Board of Trustees.
