Trustee meeting March 17th 2010

Notes from the March 17th Town Trustees’ meeting
The meeting went quickly.  There were only three administrative permits: all granted.  There were eight applications for extensions, transfers, or amendments; none too exciting.  Eight wetland permits applications were heard, several concerning actions obviously either out of the jurisdiction of the Trustees, such as work on the landward side of a house, or a second story addition above an existing house.  I was told the Trustees must be involved if any of the property is within their jurisdiction.  Does that sound correct?  It seems that a great deal of time and effort is spent inspecting and deciding that a proposed plan doesn’t affect them.  This also delays the owner in getting work done, by requiring an application to be processed.  It seems that some of this can be simplified.
