Each of our events has had its own character and flavor, and this year’s Sundowner was no exception.
With calm seas and favorable tides, several attending guests arrived by boat. With soft breezes off Southold Bay gently flowing through our private room, quiet music provided a soothing backdrop for introductions and conversation.
The food of Pepi’s was praised by all, and as soon as one of the trays of delectables was eaten, another took its place to everyone’s fill.
Then – the party began!
As the evening got dark and the lights of Shelter Island began to twinkle, disco lights and dance music took over. Everyone – whether dancing or enjoying the music was involved and having fun. It was a party!
The Events Committee, with Candace Corlett chairing our Sundowner, is again to be congratulated on a great job.
As was mentioned that night, “the devil is in the details” and every detail was covered.
