It was a spectacular clear blue sky day, a tranquil spot belying the fury of an impending washout of the last 17ft, but there’s no doubt from the turnout that this cause is serious…a full report from Chairman John Betsch will follow, and reporters were there from Newsday and Suffolk Times, so look for reports there also. In the meantime, here’s a note from Lynn Laskos, who heads up the Hashamomuck Cove Group of homeowners.
“Thank you to all the homeowners who attended Legislator Ed Romaines press conference today at our beach in Southold. The Hashamomuck Cove Group are humbled by your kindness. We must be heard by the State and continue to march forward. It was nice to see Supervisor Russell and Ms. Jill Doherty our trustee there to support us. Again.. thank you so much.”
