10.70 tons of refuse was collected through the Town of Southold / SoutholdVOICE coordinated Shoreline clean-up as documented by the Town’s Waste Management Department
As you recall there were fifteen drop spots throughout the Town. Some generated minimal activity while others generated multiple truck loads. 21,400 pounds of shoreline refuse may seem incidental in the grand scheme, but when you consider that some of the debris was as insignificant in size/weight as a plastic lid or straw, it takes a heap of refuse to generate a ton!
